Our Philosophy

Pink Horizons Botanical Skin Care is inspired by a vision that was founded on an integrated, holistic approach to overall health and well-being. We are a holistic, botanical skin care company dedicated to bringing powerful, pure, and multi-beneficial ingredients from the United States as well as countries that support fair trade initiatives such as Fair for Life. Our customers and business practices are paramount to us. There are only a handful of companies in the world that demonstrate the importance of making a living while keeping in mind the ramifications of their business practices on their clients, local and global communities, and the earth’s precious resources. Every action we take or decision we make has a direct effect on our customers, our environment, and the local/global communities around the world. We are proud to say that we have built a company that maintains that focus.

The company's name comes from the phrase, "May your life be filled with many pink horizons", where the color pink represents love and bounty, as cherry blossoms are only pink when they blossom in the springtime. One pink horizon is simply not enough. Your life should be filled with many. Through our company, we have found ways to bring you just that - by engaging in the spirit of community, increasing awareness, and developing healthy products that promote holistic living.

The Pink Team

With over 15 years of experience in the spa industry, Jan Jackson, the founder, used her knowledge in natural and alternative health practices to pave the way for a skin care line that uses only safe, natural and organic ingredients to promote healthy skin. Using a comprehensive range of supplement sets including amino acids and derivatives, probiotics, enzymes, essential oils, herbs, botanical extracts, vitamins and minerals, Jan developed formulas that safely and effectively restore and maintain the skin’s natural protective barrier. This is especially important for health-challenged individuals such as cancer patients or survivors whose immune system is already overtaxed. Carrying on the principles that the company was founded on, the formulation team, comprised of a dedicated group of biomedical engineers, currently uses their knowledge in Research & Development to create products that address the body’s largest organ, your skin, without the use of harsh chemicals or synthetics. We carefully choose every ingredient not only based on its therapeutic and nurturing properties, but also whether it comes from an ecologically as well as ethically sound source. At the end of the day, we weigh our success by the difference we make for our clients, the environment, and communities we come in contact with. Our Community

As part of our philosophy, we are active in our local community, engaging in projects and teaming up with organizations that contribute to improving human health, the environment, and helping underprivileged groups. We are thankful that we have been given the opportunity to connect with others, creating a positive impact in the world. Our team proudly supports and contributes to organizations such as Change.org, Water.org, Kiva, and Breast Cancer Action. We are inspired by their missions, their passion towards a greater good, and their rigorous commitment to engage the public in their efforts.

Among these organizations, the Environmental Working Group and the Breast Cancer Fund have sponsored a great initiative to bring about the awareness of toxic chemicals present in many popular skin care brands by developing the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. Pink Horizons is proud to be one of the few companies in FULL compliance with the Compact. We have been a member since 2007, relentlessly improving our standards and formulations to meet the guidelines presented by the this very important mission to hold skin care companies accountable for what they manufacture and sell to the public.

Our Environment

We package our products in eco-friendly containers that do not add to the waste stream or are complicated to recycle. All of our products arrive in High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or glass, and nothing (absolutely nothing) is artificial or toxic; all products are paraben-free, phthalate-free, sulfate-free, dye-free, natural or organic, and fresh. Every product is made-to-order, meaning that we don’t make it until you order it. Pink Horizons products are NEVER tested on animals. With increasing awareness of the environment and the indigenous people who live in remote parts of the world where much of earth’s resources come from, more companies are using ecologically sound methods of growing and sourcing ingredients as well as participating in international fair trade initiatives. Pink Horizons is proud to be one of these few.

Our Suppliers

We stand proudly by our products, knowing that our suppliers and companies we do business with carry the same vision and ethical standards we do. Our suppliers support the principles of Fair Trade systems, which not only carry certified products, but are inspected and certified for their working conditions, labor practices, environmental and social programs, the origins of their products, and their overall transparency to the public. All of our business partners work for the advancement of organic agriculture and sustainability.

Ingredients from our suppliers are:

True Certified Organic.
Ethically wildharvested or cultivated without chemicals when not certified organic.
Grown, processed & handled according to strict organic standards by knowledgable, caring people.
Free from irridation and ozone treatment, sulfites, and other sanitary chemicals.
Quality control tested, analyzed and supervised at an on-site lab.
Guaranteed fresh and not from "warehouse stock."
